New York, NY – Commencing September 1st, 2011, arts and culture non-profit BOFFO is proud to present the 2nd Annual BOFFO Building Fashion, a celebration of cutting edge design uniting vibrant architects with acclaimed fashion designers. With the official support of the CFDA, BOFFO hand picked fashion designers to showcase their work with a series of temporary retail installations giving them the opportunity to work with architects and display their work in their first free standing retail environment.  This year’s BOFFO Building Fashion will be located in the 19th-Century cast-iron, landmarked building at 57 Walker Street in Tribeca.  BOFFO Building Fashion debuts with the newly appointed Creative Director for Mugler, Fashion Director to Lady Gaga, the creative visionary Nicola Formichetti, followed by top selling young American jewelry designer and celebrity favorite Irene Neuwirth, 2011 CFDA Best Menswear Designer Nominee Patrik Ervell, winners of the 2011 Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award for Womenswear, lingerie label The Lake & Stars, and close with the progressive and modern womenswear designerns, 2009 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists Ohne Titel.

May 19th- July 4th  BOFFO will conduct a worldwide competition in partnership with Architizer (www.architizer.com) in search of world-class architects to pair with these innovative fashion designers.  Architects are asked to submit design proposals expressing their vision of a retail space for their fashion designer of choice.  The jury will include BOFFO, Architizer and industry leaders including DS&R’s Charles Renfro, Architectonic’s Winka Dubbledam, High Line Co-Founder Robert Hammond and other industry professionals.  Each architect’s collaboration will transform 57 Walker Street into an original retail environment, rotating every two weeks, to showcase designs on par with the caliber and prestige demonstrated by the supporting fashion designer.  Winning architects are awarded $20,000 to build and install their installation.

DIOR HOMME SPRING 2012

DIOR HOMME SPRING 2012 from V Magazine on Vimeo.

Film by Martin Landgreve

Although there will be a lot of pieces that might be similar to other fashion houses but, this collection for DIOR seems to be like homogeneous to LANVIN 2011/2012. The hats, trousers and the palettes. These three fashion houses LANVIN, DIOR and YSL seems to like much of a muchness. Not maybe because of they are under the wing LVMH but I think Alber, Kris, Hedi (first name basis we're that close)are copying each other's sketches. I'm just pulling someone's leg! Isn't it obvious? I find that LANVIN is better than this collection. I know its for FALL/WINTER 2011 collection. How will I compare collection for different seasons? LOL! Till the next one!

God Save My Shoes

A documentary about the relationship between women and shoes.
Set on a quest to decipher—from a psychological, sociological, historical, cultural, and erotic perspective—the fiery emotions that shoes exert on most women (and on quite some men), God Save my Shoes went from New York to Los Angeles, Paris to Milan, Toronto and Florence to interview extreme shoe collectors, everyday women, such celebrities as burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland, Paris opera ballerina Marie-Agnès Gillot, and Baroness Von Neumann. We also turned to fashion historian Valerie Steele of the FIT in New York, Toronto museum curator Elizabeth Semmelhack, women's marketing expert Mary Lou Quinlan, industry mogul Vincent Camuto, Filipa Fino of Vogue USA, Caroline de Fayet of ELLE magazine, Moulin Rouge dancers, shoe fetishists, and such designers as Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Walter Steiger, Pierre Hardy, Bruno Frisoni, Vivienne Westwood, Robert Clergerie... all those that play a role in the ubiquitous shoe phenomenon!

Fergie
" A shoe tells who you are it kinda tells a story about you."

Piere Hardy
" I don't know where this thirst for shoes comes from. But it doesn't go through reason, it doesn't go through the cortex. For some girls, the shoe is a compulsive thing."

Christian Louboutin
"Women have a carnal relationship with their shoes. The shoe isn't an object. Its their prerogative."

I got this from CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) tweet. You can check this site godsavemyshoe for more deets.

BURBERRY PRORSUM Menswear Spring/Summer 2012

This was just in!The Burberry Prorsum Menswear Spring/Summer 2012 show, shot in Milan on Saturday 18 June. And these are my top 16/46 look that caught my eye. Everything were amazeballs that it made me sick on my stomach. Literally BA-NA-NAS!  I'm not a fan of those hats though but other than that the oxford shoes, blazers, knits, coats, bags and the shirts were all beyond fur-fec-tion.

Check the entire collection here.

Had to start my Seat-thur-day early for a chow down at Fullerton Hotel. I had to starve myself and skip brekky for this! What a shameless tweet! The weather was extremely uncooperative that it can't decide wether will it be Mr. Rain or Ms. Sunshine. And I was having a hard time thinking of what to wear. End up? I wore a UNIQLO blazer, TOPMAN shirt, chinos and shoes (just sayin'! Hahaha!)thinking that it might be drizzling. Turns out that it was just a moody day for Mr. Weather. We spent 2 hours there and (MAN!) it was so good that it seems like I was eating for the whole day. It was smoldering haute that I gulp like about 50 liters of water. HAHAHA! Exaggeration! You know me!  We strolled the entire day and I was telling myself that I will not eat and pretend that I don't know what's eating. And yet we finished the day with a pizza dinner at CPK. Deym! How did we do it? I went home with an empty wallet but with a full stomach. LOL! Let's do it again!

On the other hand, I just learned that DGMNL will draw the winners for the letterman jackets this Wednesday. Oh my! I want the red one. I'm crossing my fingers that I will be one of the winners! Can't wait for that day!

I feel the space under my feet!

I just learned that there will be a parte deux on the 25th. I'm beyond eggzited. Let's paint the night with colors? CHEESY-whiz! Another tons-of-hell-of-fun, I'm pinning on it! As long as the zanies are there (I don't want to mention names) then it will be a giveaway. I'm not referring to either one of you MJ & Lawrence! I did not say anything! HAHAHAHAHA! And since no one is thinking of a theme I'm pleading(yeah! pleading any problem with that?) that it will be a COLOR-BLOCKING! Common guys its SUMMER! LOL - Im not being selfish (I am) but I just want to be like Patrick Demarchelier for night. You know that feeling? Imagine wearing an electric blue top with a pair of an orange paper bag shorts. Then your good to go (this is for you MJ!) Hahahaha! I don't know what to say so let's full stop here! (In my mind) "What a lame post!"
