Lenten Season(Semana Santa)

One of Christian ways is having a Lenten season. What is Lenten season? The word “Lent” actually means “fast”. Lenten season is a time for soul-searching, repentance and a forty-day season of preparation for Easter. It is always begins on a Wednesday, called Ash Wednesday. Why is it 40 days? Jesus fasted and was tempted in the wilderness for 40 days. This is our time of fasting, prayer, temptation and repentance. Lent is not required anywhere in scriptures, but it has been a custom, which Christians have practiced for most of the last two thousand years.
During Lent we follow Jesus from his adult ministry through his suffering during Holy Week and his crucifixion and death on Good Friday. And we read the Psalms that foretell what would happen during that week.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, also called Sunday of the Passion, and continues through Holy Thursday (when Holy Communion was instituted at the Last Supper) and Good Friday, when Jesus was tried, crucified, and buried.
The Last Supper was celebrated during the Feast of the Passover, which is calculated on the phases of the moon, Easter is called a movable feast. Lent is scheduled backwards from Easter. Easter falls on the first Sunday after the full moon after the spring equinox. The forty days of fasting and penitence during Lent do not include Sundays. Christians always celebrate Sunday as the day Jesus rose from the dead, so it is never a day of fasting.

Hackneyed? That's what I always heed and have off pat everytime my parents call me. That how's everything here and life, I can't even escape with my friends also with this line. I'm just so in high spirits that they are looking also for my footing here and it really pinch this stupid and dumb heart sometimes.

It set off not really with a dream, I never trance nor hallucinate of getting here. But, the moment I stepped on my foot here it goes back to the past as to why I did not hasten in getting here. It was getting to end of October of last year I pulled in here in Singapore, anticipating to get a job and help my roots. That was really the gameplan with me and my friends, I can still shade our first day here. It was like your being draped and unwrapped and out of a blue you play with your mind and say "really I'm here already!". I was just flabbergasted with the office blocks down to the streets as to how Singapore shared the wonders of the new era. From, busses with the use ezlink cards to everything not same as home.




As to now, I'm still on the verge of corporating myself that I share the same pie that our "kababayan" is feeling being away from the families. It's maybe hard knowing that your far away from them but the thought that you are making their life cloud nine its even more heaven that you will feel. It's my first time away from my family and there was even a point that I want to quit and planning to go home but, it goes back to that I can't provide my parents the same love they gave for its my time now to give back what they have done to me. For I will never be here and be like this without them.





Life here in Singapore is really the life that I want for now. Waking up early-work!work!work!-save!-and-new-life-new environment.I know that later in my stones to jump it will be more than this.

Free mp3 download, worn-out and drained with it? I got one of the pieces of it!

Irritated - exasperated! That's what I feel and for sure share the same stance to those digger-addict of mp3 may it be with different audio format. As always every time I poke around or search mp3 songs using search engines like Google, Yahoo its only one-eight or worse end up with nothing. At times you hit the right website and download the mp3 you like but only a few most of the time it really end up with songs that you don't really like. But, since its the only thing that can be downloaded then you get compromise with the song.

The sad note on that is all the clicks and browsing are whacked or wasted on websites, URL asserting to have free downloadable but when you click on the link -Free MP3! - it ends you to complete a form or for an online payment, which is really a pain in the ass. The shoddier part of it is that when you are just in the Internet Cafe and there you wasted your time and money with nothing. Some are using freewares that can be easily be downloaded in the Internet like Bearshare, Frostwire or Limewire but you need to install it and get the hang of it with how its functions and jerks.

To not prolong the agony with the help of search engines I found of an easier way of doing it considering the disturbs and pesters. One time, while searching some techie stuff, I unintentionally browsed an article about a script that you can easily use in Google search engine. It's actually a set of operators used for advance searching and as explained in the Google help center, this script will restrict search results to individual files. So instead of bringing you to websites, this will list the exact documents matched by your search.

By then using this script makes everything easy and fun. Here's how you gonna do it. Below is a sample script we are going to use for searching mp3 files.

The script portion (wmamp3) stands for the filename extension we're going to search. So in our case, we are going to search for wma - windows media audio and mp3 - mpeg audio layer 3.

On the segment "Westlife%" stands for name of the file we are going to retrieve. The % means any strings or characters. So to sum up, we are looking for a wma or mp3 file that starts with Westlife followed by any characters.After figuring that out all you have to do is copy the script and place it in the Google engine then click search. Google will list down exact matches on the query you performed. Now click any index link to display the file list.And lastly, click on the file you want to download. A dialog box will prompt to confirm downloading.

Sa aking Anak..(To my child)

I got this some kinda ode from my friend. And he's a brand of who doesn't want forwarded messages in his friendster account. Every time he logs in, and spot that new message is highlighted, without taking breathe it will be rubbed out straight away. For him it just like this, "if its not packaged well then the hell I care!". One time somebody sent him a forwarded message and I pre-empted him that he will score through it out. I didn't bother to take a glimpse at it since, I share sometimes the same feelings that he has when it comes to it. In particular, with those chain messages that's not even worth a click, or any messages that is as quality as trash. So, when he opened and suddenly low sounded it then maybe its worth to read. When I read it, it pinch the heart. Here it is,..................

I wasn't wrong right? This might be severly ill but true to others. Hope they can realize later on that we can only have them once, and when the time comes that they are fully equipped with what God wants them, we can never take them back. Hope it will not reach to that point before it happens.
