Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012
Although Marc Jacobs has been hailed and celebrated for his womenswear but his eponymous menswear line is just something that fashionistas can't help of wanting. Often shifting extremely from one aesthetic to another depending on the season. The label can run the gamut anywhere from minimalist neo-traditional to wild, print-splattered avant grade. Luckily for fashion fans, however, his 2012 Spring/Summer campaign seems to preview a very strong mix of the two. With more conservative times like knit cardigans with contrast piping and shrunken, gold-buttoned blazers mixing seamlessly with shiny waxed pants, nontraditional drawstring-detailed trousers and literally gold-plated oxfords - the offered here is one of Jacob's strongest in recent memory.

D&G GOING DIGITAL!
Dolce & Gabbana, Going Digital from The Business of Fashion on Vimeo.
Ever imagine that you'll just have to wait online for the newest collection and no more runways? That's what actually the forerunners of Dolce & Gabbana: Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana are talking with this sit-in with ever so intelligent Imran Amed about fashion, their fans and their digital strategies. Though both of them believe in the power of the digital medium, Domenico is the complete opposite of Stefano when it comes to the use of technology. He's not into Facebook an he's not into Twitter (you can follow Stefano on twitter @stefanogabbana). I admire him when he said he prefers real life more and in a way, it’s inspiring. It’s important to always separate both real and online lives. It’s easy to get trapped online and this whole social media madness due to the addictive nature of the internet.
I agree on Domenico more than that of Stefano. It's more galvanizing and rousing seeing the new collection in wide gaping eyes and even a chance of touching it. And maybe internet will just be used as medium of playing back! Although I haven't been invited to any fashion shows and if I'll be given chance that will be one of the best moments of life. And I guess that's what every fashionista wants! I don't care if will sitting on the last row as long as you're there and be the one of the first to see the newest collection. Man! Its like you're part of the history of the brand. This is just one way of extending to a bigger market. Some understand the language of this and others will not or will still prefer the conventional. Looking at the situation now this must go together. No wonder D&G is rising like a skyscraper since they have a exceptional mixture of classic (Domenico) and avant-garde (Stefano).
Bye-bye Miss American Pie!
Another photo dump! I've been so sluggish lately maybe because I was kinda frustrated about something. Something that has to do with my work and it'll be kinda out proportion if I'll spit it here. LOL! Bon Iver + Peter Bjorn & John + Carolina Liar are my ear-ten-tain-ment for the past days! 80% maybe of my blood I guess is pop and it must be curbed. What am I talking about? And it'll be a week from now and I'll be at home. Can't wait for the dig-ins, to see everyone and the house. Although portion of me again is telling the sun to stay where it is and don't effin' move! Those in sales will understand this! T - to -t man! Another useless post again from me! Hahahahaha!
Let the sun shower you with rain!
It was a lethargic day! I got up about midday that I don't have the hankering of going out. Was about to call off my Singapore Botanic Garden and just rot myself the whole day. Since I promised to them about the mischiefs(amateur photoshoot) we will do then I have to keep it. As per my customary for my weekend Giada at Home + Barefoot Contessa + JustJared and hours and hours of rotting myself in bed. LOL! I was about an hour late good thing they busied themselves at TOPSHOP and I got a shirt using my points at TOPMAN! Not bad Seat-thur-day at all! We covered almost 50% I think of the garden. Photos are the validation of the shenanigans we had.
Lets do it again next week!
